Bringing a digital legacy to life is a simple, three-stage process. From the moment you order to the moment the tag is placed, we’ve made the setup easy and intuitive.
Step 1: Receive & Unpack
Every TribuTag order is shipped to your door with FREE shipping included. When your package arrives, you’ll find your durable metal tags ready for activation. There is no special hardware or complicated manual required—just your smartphone.
Step 2: Scan & Connect
Open your phone's camera and scan the QR code on your new tag. This will launch a simple, step-by-step setup guide on your screen:
- Create Your Account: Securely register your tag with TribuTag.
- Link Your Memorial: Provide the URL (web address) of your loved one’s online memorial or obituary. (Note: While TribuTag facilitates the connection, the memorial content is hosted by your preferred 3rd-party provider).

Annual Reminders: When you provide your email upon account setup, if you are activating a Memorial tag, you will be enrolled in our free Annual Reminder Service. We will send you gentle notifications on significant dates, including a direct link to the memorial page. (You are free to opt-out any time you like.) If you are setting up a Memory tag, you will have the option at this point to opt-in for the free Annual Reminder Service.
Step 3: Place Your Tribute
Once the digital connection is set, you can place the tag at any time:
- For Memorial Tags: Peel the protective backing to reveal the industrial-grade adhesive. Apply it to a clean, dry surface on a headstone, niche, or urn. This durable, weather-resistant tag is designed to stay secure through every season.

For Memory Tags: Simply attach the tag to your keychain or keep it in a special place. Since these are designed for mobility, they do not include adhesive, making them the perfect companion for everyday remembrance.

Now, whenever you or a visitor scans a TribuTag, they are instantly transported to the digital memorial you’ve linked. No apps, no downloads—just an instant connection to a story that deserves to be told.
